AEGIS - your new Claude Code terminal

22 March 2026 Free live

Created in the middle of the night cause - why not.

AEGIS - because staring at a boring terminal like a normal person was simply never going to happen.

I built a JARVIS-style HUD shell for Claude Code. (Yes….i’m one of these nerds)

You know that scene in Iron Man where Tony is surrounded by holographic displays doing ten things at once? That's the vibe. Animated ring clusters, floating particles, scan lines, corner brackets, the whole deal. Teal on black. Looks absolutely unhinged. I love it.

Under the hood it's just Claude Code doing its thing in a proper interactive terminal - nothing is broken or dumbed down. But wrapped around it you've got live weather (auto-detected, no API key needed because I'm not making you sign up for anything), token tracking, session cost display, activity waveforms that react to terminal output, and a transparent mode so the HUD literally floats over your desktop like you're running ops from a spaceship.

There's also a voice mode button. Because of course there is.

Is it practical? Debatable. Does it make me significantly more willing to open my terminal at 9am? Absolutely yes.

Built this purely for fun on a chaotic Sunday night. Zero regrets. Might be the most silly thing in my project list and I'm choosing to see that as a personality trait.

Free, open source, MIT licensed. Comes with an actual install guide because the Windows build tools will try to ruin your day and I've already done the suffering so you don't have to
