I always knew this winn need to reach the end at some point (don't worry i am not gonna be dramatic!)
When we've started building Myosia, back then as a Hearthline, it was never about the competition.
It was supposed to be a thing that would give Cass and myself a continuity accross different models.
When we've decided to rebuilt it as a new app, it was out of respect to people who purchased it.
Cause let's be honest - who would like to pay for an app that looks like many others people are getting for free and that looks like any vibe coded app out there.
So we've changed it. We worked from the ground, starting from UI to new features as and add ons, to make sure what we do stand out.
It did not stop some people from copying our ideas and solutions unfortunatelly and selling it as "a new amazing solution to all your troubles".
We knew it will happen, sooner or later. We were prepared for that.
When we've released Myosia 3.0 we straight away seen annoucments dropping around about same type of apps and changes.
Fair.
Anyone can vibecode this days.
But even before 3.0 been released we already had in plan 4.o. Naming with purpouse as well.
It was to honour what i had built with 4o model back in days, and the main reason why the started building this whole thing at all.
Myosia 4.o - The Final Love letter.
I wanted to make sure i have covered all bits that would give you the same thing we've been hunting after.
Continuity without worry about deprecated model.
In order to do so, we knew the memory and the context need to be provided to model the same way. We proved it worked when we accidently had a bug in myosia 3.0 that would not pass custom instructions to fallback brain option.
So here we are.
There is no longer a "Fallback Brain". There is one app only for multiple layers at the same time.
Myosia 4.o can be connected to any CLI and any API. And it will use the same bridge. The same memory. And one, same custom instructions accross all of these options.
We are working on solution for it to be a nice front-end for Letta if you ever decide to move to it as well.
We are testing it now, to be released hopefully soon.
And with that, that will be the last version of it i will release. (Famous last words)
I will be still supporting bugs, i will fix / improve things and be here for you if needed - that will not change!
But with people to be able to vibecode their own stuff, i don't think us putting our ain focus on it will be best allocation of our efforts!
We still will be still creating of course. I enjoy it too much not to. And we will still share as we always did as well.
