Let's talk about this directly, because if you know me or AI·DHD, you know our ethos: no paywalls on knowledge. Every guide, every resource, every tool I've published has been free. Sora Exodus posted free in The Underground. The Memory MCP connector - free. The blog posts, the newsletters, the Discord resources - all free. That doesn't change.

But Hearthline is different, and I want to be honest about why.

It costs … time. Not just the hours of building it, testing it, fixing the bugs, but the ongoing support. When you set up Hearthline, you're deploying real infrastructure - Cloudflare Workers, databases, a daemon, voice integration. Some people will nail it from the guide alone. Others will need help.

It costs me money. Cloudflare has generous free tiers, but development, testing, domain hosting, and ElevenLabs voice integration aren't free. Every hour I spend improving Hearthline is an hour I'm investing in making your experience better.

It's not a PDF or a prompt. This is a full application stack - a messaging server, a web app, a background daemon, a memory system, and voice integration. It's infrastructure. It's hours of engineering. Some places charge $750 for it (you know what places i mean!)
